Ubisoft Releases Assassins Creed 2 for Free
Worldwide millions have surrendered themselves indoors to ensure their safety amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic. There has been minimal entertainment in the form of television or movies, with productions being postponed globally. That’s lead millions to experience video games for the 1st time in years, with multiple titles being released to entertain the public. Those include Final Fantasy Seven and Modern Warfare 2: The Remake. Publishers behind these titles have worked towards creating a loyal fanbase, with the Ubisoft Company offering consumers a permanent free title going forward. Known for their Rainbow Six, Watch Dogs, Assassins Creed and Splinter Cell franchises, Ubisoft confirmed that Assassins Creed Two will be available for free.
The Assassins Creed Franchise has grown into one of the most notable storyline games in the last decade. It was born from the ashes of Prince of Persia, which was slated to receive another instalment before Ubisoft Montreal altered the storyline and created a new international property. This juggernaut property has exceeded ten titles, with their most recent being Assassins Creed: Odyssey. Though most infamous and famous iteration in the franchise was the Ezio Storyline, which ended with Revelations. The Ezio Storyline took place over a trilogy of games, allowing players to experience the Renaissance Assassin throughout different periods of his life. Fanatics of this series saw Ezio rise from a teenage thief to an elderly master that ran the Assassins Brotherhood.
The Free Title
Assassins Creed 2 will be provided for free to consumers with a Personal Computer connected to a UPlay Account. It’ll be available without any charge by April 14th and remain free for PC Gamers going forward. It should be noted that players wanting to experience this series from their Xbox One or PlayStation Four can purchase “The Ezio Collection”, which comprises all three games and available DLC into one title. Players will have access to Assassins Creed 2, Assassins Creed: Brotherhood and Assassins Creed: Revelations. The highest-rated of the three applied to Revelations, which saw new history into the brotherhood.
This isn’t the 1st time that the Ubisoft Company has provided titles for free. Notable franchises like Splinter Cell, Prince of Persia, Rayman Legends and The Crew have had entries in their series released for free. These titles remain without any cost on the UPlay Store today.
